Boss mama & the jebberhooch
Saturday, January 3rd
Doors: 6 PM
Show: 7 PM
Boss Mama takes listeners on an emotional ride from smooth country heartbreak to foot stomping Americana blues and beyond. Her songwriting ranges from honest emotion and earthly imagery to the raucousness of horses, strippers, and whiskey. Her voice is authentic, her stories are relatable, and her musicianship impeccable. Myhre is a true American singer/songwriter grounded in her passion of soulful and heartfelt music.
“Singer, songwriter, guitarist and “Boss Mama” Colleen Myhre has connected with a loose band of hard-rocking desperados and dubbed them the Jebberhooch. Together, Boss Mama and the Jebberhooch put out dusty, dirty, gritty blues that rumble across the stage like a beat-up sedan over a Mississippi Delta dirt road. Their sound is a shake-and-baked helping of country soul, blood harmony and deep groove funkiness."

kelley smith

grant glad
Friday, January 23rd
Doors: 6 PM
Show: 7 PM
Minnesota songwriter Kelley Smith is a wallflower who fancies old poetry and grandpa sweaters. All at once whimsical and haunting, Smith delivers deeply affecting lyrics with wry charm and a time traveler's voice. Prone to melancholy and daydreaming, Kelley spent her childhood roaming the woods of the north country. To this day, her longing for that landscape runs deep and seems to find its way into her songs in one way or another.
---
The music of Duluth-based Americana singer-songwriter Grant Glad transforms the day-to-day struggle of American living into foot-stomping, full-hearted anthems about chasing dreams and dancing while you do it. At times twangy, at times funky, his albums stretch the boundaries of several genres to produce something entirely new: songs that offer the loose, raw spirit of punk rock, the bold, driving rhythms of roots rock-and-roll, and the rich sense of personal history that makes classic country forever relevant.
no man's string band
Saturday, January 24th
Doors: 6 PM
Show: 7 PM
No Man’s String Band is Nic Hentges, Melissa Hentges, Justin Rosckes, Pat Loftus, and Lindsey Bordner. We formed in 2011 hoping for an excuse to simply get together, write songs, and maybe play a show or two. All these years later we have experienced more together than we imagined we would. Real songs written and performed by real friends, more grateful for each other and for you than we could ever express.
Our recent album, Love Song, is a collection of songs that are truly from our heart. Bluegrass Storm a Rollin’ was written to put on display the love we have for playing this driving music. Cicada Love Song is a song about connection. Reminding us that sounds, memories, emotions, and feelings are all linked. This is Love is the story of becoming parents, something this band has experienced many times over. MEEA’s Waltz is a tune written for all of our beautiful children. Whisper Your Name is a recognition of loss. We all experience it and together we can find healing. Nobody Said sums it all up, nobody said it would be easy.
